The following information is an overview/highlight of the programs that EBonoko Foundation is involved. Covering aspects such as the location of the program, the intended age group or people,and the outcomes. These programs are:
WOMEN IN 4IR POWERED BY EXXARO

1.WOMEN IN 4IR POWERED BY EXXARO

THE FOCAL POINTS OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program focused on reskilling and upskilling women in business in the rural areas.
  • Also a keen focus on empowering the women with relevant digital skills to assist them in running their businesses in the 4ir era.

OUTCOMES

  • The program managed to achieve the awarding of laptops to the participating women.
  • They also got cash injection towards the growth of their businesses.
  • The women were also provided with a structure that allowed to receive continuous mentorship to assist them to cope and implement the knowledge they learnt to their businesses

TARGETED GROUP

  • The program is targeted at women from the age of 20 to 46 years.

LOCATION

  • Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

2.ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT POWERED BY SHELL

THE FOCAL POINTS OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program was set to raise entrepreneurship awareness amongst the youth.

  • Also link the participating young entrepreneurs and the aspiring entrepreneurs with relevant stakeholders to assist them with the growth of their SMEs.

     

  • The young entrepreneurs were to be offered mentorship in business.

     

  • Another aspect was also providing the young people with personal development knowledge so that they could be well equipped as to how to carry themselves as they grow in the business world.

OUTCOMES

  • The participants were awarded working capital to aid with the day to day

    running of their business.

  • The program was also successful in offering mentorship to the young entrepreneurs.

  • The young entrepreneurs were successfully linked to relevant stakeholders that gave them assistance in terms of the growth of their businesses.

  • A continuous support structure was created to offer continuous assistance to the young entrepreneurs in terms of brand marketing of their companies.

  • They also got cash injections to boost the cash flow of their businesses.

  • The program was a 2-month program

TARGETED GROUP

  • The program was targeted at young people from the age of 18 to 35 years.

VALUE OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program was valued at 1 million.

LOCATION

  • Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT POWERED BY NEDBANK

3.ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT POWERED BY NEDBANK

THE FOCAL POINTS OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program was set to empower the youth from the townships with entrepreneurship in terms of cash injection and investment towards their businesses.

OUTCOMES

  • Investment was indeed made towards SMEs for the growth of those particular small businesses.

DURATION

  • The program was a 1 month long program.

TARGETED GROUP

  • The program was targeted at the youth from the age of 18 – 35 years old.

VALUE OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program was valued at 1 million.
EDUCATION DEVELOPEMENT POWERED BY EXXARO

4. EDUCATION DEVELOPEMENT POWERED BY EXXARO

THE FOCAL POINTS OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program was aimed at training the students the requirements and skills for the 4ir.

  • Students were also taught about the skills that are currently in demand in the country.

  • The students were also offered practical experience in regards to the skills they had learnt during the programme.

OUTCOMES

  •  Students were awarded with bursaries to assist them in taking their education further.

  • They were also mentored in regards of the skills that they need to have and develop that are in demand in the 4ir

  • Students were linked to possible recruit agencies for future employment opportunities.

DURATION

  • The program was a 1 month long program.

TARGETED GROUP

  • Students from grade 9 to 12

VALUE OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program was valued at 1.5 million.

LOCATION

  • Lephalale
DISABILITY PROGAM POWERED BY EXXARO

5. DISABILITY PROGAM POWERED BY EXXARO

THE FOCAL POINTS OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program was aimed at raising awareness around disability in Lephalale and Witbank.

  • It was also set to open up channel for people living with disabilities to be able to access opportunities

     

  • The participating PWD were also to be offered mentorship in various aspects of life such as personal development.

OUTCOMES

  •  The PWD were linked to various opportunities such as employment opportunities.

     

  • There was also successful skills transfer whereby the PWD were offered relevant skills to assist them to be able to better themselves and be at a better position when it comes to getting opportunities.

  • Assisting material such as wheelchairs and crutches were also donated to the PWD.

DURATION

  • The program was a 1 month long program.

TARGETED GROUP

  • The program was targeted at people living with disabilities in Lephalale and Witbank.

VALUE OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program was valued at 1.5 million.
